Ugh, really wanted to see Dermott get a run of games
he was ready all year by Babcock's own admission, but he sat him out due to his handedness. Kapanen is ready as well and not getting a shot. It's idioticHe will. The cream rises to the top and if he is ready Babs cannot sit him out.
Dermott looked totally comfortable on the right side last night. Can't use handedness as an excuse for not playing him at this particular moment.he was ready all year by Babcock's own admission, but he said him out due to his handedness. Kapanen is ready as well and not getting a shot. It's idiotic
he can't use anything as an excuse for not playing him. Full stop. If he wants accountability and our best players to play, Dermott is in the lineup from October.Dermott looked totally comfortable on the right side last night. Some of you need to relax. Practice lines mean very little on non-game days. The game day skate lines tomorrow are what matters.
The Leafs also cant waste Carrick. He needs to get n meaningful practice as well.
I like Carrick and think he should play over Polak but if he's the reason why Dermott isn't playing then screw him. We know what they are already. Carrick was benched for much of the playoffs against Washington, it's clear that Babcock doesn't trust him.
Babcock has too many faults and his love for grinders and players who suck is unbelievable.
Joel Quennville is scratching Seabrook for their next game. That's accountability.
Our coach sees young players do well and says "Oh well, you didn't earn the job from the vet, back to the AHL you go"
or even better: "Tie goes to the vet"
WTF?
there is no point keeping him up for the bye week. He's going to be back in the AHL very soon. We have seen it with Kapanen, we'll see it with Dermott once Zaitsev is back and he'll be the odd man out because Babcock is too afraid to lose a **** player like Polak to waivers.
