I guess they want the A squad at the ACC (because I would imagine with James's record in Ottawa, they'd give him the net there)

not even going to lie, gonna be watching this game. (though it sucks, because Holland is going to be in Ottawa)

Not that it matters, but it looks like they have Nylander at 6' 185.

If I had to guess the lineup:

Nylander - Kontiola - Kessel (it was a line in scrimmages)
JVR - Kadri - Lupul
Komarov - Santorelli - Brown
Devane - McKegg - Bodie

extras: Kozun, Broll, Leivo

Phaneuf - Polak
Gardiner - Franson
Percy - Granberg

extras: Mikkelson, Loov

A tough roster to predict. I could see someone like Kessel, JVR or Lupul sitting to put in Leivo, same for Phaneuf sitting for Loov or Mikkelson.

I hate split squad games, hard to take them seriously when they resemble an AHL game. Not a true indication to me. Designed to fleece the fans.

LOL@ roster in Ottawa.

Go for the sweep boys!

On the broadcast last night they said coaches like them. Gives them a bit more info and some players more ice time before cuts are made. Talent level is washed down though.

It's designed to view more people in a short time span.

They either play them the same day or on different days, it comes down to the same thing really in the end.

First thought that ran through my head

I don't even know why i assumed he'd be in Toronto - probably because he played in London? But holy smokes. that Ottawa squad is barely legal.

in regards to split squads -i dont' mind it at all. Yeah, the home-team is going to be loaded, - but i think it allows you to see the talent we have coming (and if they're ready for the A) and the A talent to see if they CAN crack the NHL. it's not a picasso, but i think it's the best of a situation (also - i think it's also a way to show fans that there is talent in the minors, so support your local team... in a sense).

and again: I'll take ANY hockey vs. a lockout/none at all.

My best guess at a line up for the game in Toronto:

JVR - Kadri - Kessel
Lupul - Santorelli - Leivo
Komarov - Kontiola - Brown
Devane - McKegg - Bodie
Broll

Phaneuf - Franson
Gardiner - Polak
Percy - Granberg
Mikkelson, Loov

... Wait missed Nylander .. Hmm ... That's a big roster
