Barkov was asked if he will be at the training today and the game tomorrow. "Think I'm gonna." So expect him to play.

Finns win this 5-3.

I'd like another crack at the Finns, please. provided Canada does its part and gets past the U.S.

+ Laine is just fun to watch...

I've seen Ovi's song and dance before a 1000 times. nothing new there.

Finland wins if they make as little defensive mistakes as possible. If they play defense as well as in the Canda game Finland is going to win 3-1 or something like that.

One thing i'm really worried about are the referees......

There's only two possible outcomes.

Scenario 1: MG64 leads Finland to victory 2011 style

Scenario 2: Putin & Medvedev have once again bribed the refs and atleast 3 finnish players end up dead with no consequences while farting at Ovechkin is a 2min interference penalty.

I'm really liking the Finns lately. They are well on their way to becoming a hockey superpower. But, I want to see Russia win.

Canada v Russia for Gold in Moscow.

We got to focus on beating the Americans first and not look past them first though.

Since the scandal referring 2 years ago, i hope that IIHF feels they have to restore their reputation, both teams are really good, if the game is fair it will be a good one!!

A big match between two great teams and the winner goes to the finals. Could it get better than this? Here's one for a good close battle on ice.

He who dares, wins it tomorrow.

Canada got a lucky draw here and should breeze to an easy win. The only downside is that sometimes its hard to convince yourself to be emotionally ready for a team that you recently thrashed.

Russia is somewhat untested against this quality of competition so far, and everyone knows that Finland will lay everything on the ice when they play Russia. I expect Russia to be motivated by the home crowd and be ready to fight. Will probably be the game of the entire tournament.

Yes.
Russia vs Finland should be the gold medal game.

Lucky? The Fins were first in the group and got to play the "weaker" teams for earning that honor. If Finland would have lost against Canada, then they would have got this draw

When asked about Barkov, Finland's head coach gave this comment: "We will not comment."

The radio about an hour back said he will most likely be playing.

The radio headline news broadcast that is.

Russians are super skilled as usual. We have to stay out of penalty box. Panarin-Shipachov-Dadonov are crazy good. Then there's Kuznetzov and Ovi, Datsyuk, Mozyakin....O.O

How do you think Finland will match lines? Finland is official home team i guess since they are group winners, i think Koivu-line vs Panarin-line and Barkov vs Kuznetsov-line.. which would mean Laine VS Ovi.
