Seguin and Eichel are locked up on 8 year deals, making 9.85M and 10M respectively.

Which player would you rather have for the duration of their contract?

Seguin. He will be good for all those years as well, while being the better player right now.

Gotta be Tyler, right?

Jack's mere presence will destroy a room. When he enters the locker room a black nothingness fills the air, and when he speaks it is comparable to a Dementor's kiss. Rumour has it you can infect terminal illness by simply sharing a bench with the red headed devil.

I think we know what Seguins peak like is, it's pretty sweet. But I feel little gambly today so I pick Eichel I think he can peak higher.

I think I'd take the risk of Eichel. In terms of PPG he has been pretty close to Seguin in his last 2 years. He might be able to reach another level over the length of the contract. Meanwhile Seguin could maintain his level for the length of his but by the last couple years might start declining.

Seguin is better now, but the gap is too small to ignore to 5 year age difference

Ask me after this season. Wanna see if Eichel can show his true potential this year. Would still probably take Seguin though

Really? So Eichel won’t be better over his prime than an aging Seguin? Not to mention Buff only has one way to go.

Would you say Jack Eichel is the real life version of Stannis Baratheon's black magic baby?

I would take Eichel. Sooner or later he'll be supported by more talented players.

In general, WAR for forwards tends to peak around age 25 and gradually decline through age 35.

They’re already somewhat comparable players, so I’ll take the one that has yet to hit his prime in Eichel.
