Vancouver, B.C. - Today Daniel and Henrik Sedin, together with their wives Marinette and Johanna, announced the creation of the Sedin Family Foundation. The Foundation will partner with local communities across British Columbia to celebrate people, recognize achievement and address the needs of families and children...

Very good read. These guys continue to show what awesome people they are and how they use their hockey stardom to help others in our community. :handclap:

Amazing humans. How these guys have a bad rep even in Vancouver is disappointing.

Who knows the next time Van will have players who reached their heights while being this prominent in the community. The Canucks as an organization are blessed to have these guys here for this long. Thanks Daniel and Henrik plus their families for helping out as much as you have !

People can (and will) complain all they want about them as players, but their value as human beings and members of this community is undeniable. We are fortunate to have them

Wow. I wasn't aware it was possible for them to be better people than they are players. I really hope the Sedins stay connected to Vancouver and the Canucks organization when they retire. They have really become to be on the level of heroism as Smyl and Linden as hockey players and people.

Stuff like this is why 22 and 33 will hang in the rafters once they are gone. Amazing people on and off the rink. I remember when they tried to donate $1M to charity anonymously, but the foundation wanted them to come forward to raise more awareness for the charity. It will be a sad day when they leave this organisation.

It's really inspiring to see two people work so hard to achieve great success and then work just as hard at being great people.
