What an awful trade. The Reds actually had a decent lineup going and weren't that bad (83 wins last year in a relatively weak NL Central)
They could have easily made a run at a playoff spot but instead they decide to be a poverty franchise and unload damn near everything with value. Even with Suarez's average being awful he still hit 31 bombs. Franchises like this ruin baseball.
On the other side, Seattle is building themselves a nice little ball club, Winker, Haniger, France, potential bounceback from Suarez, young guns in Kelenic and the probable debut of Julio Rodriguez...and then rumors they're still big game hunting. Probably the first time the Mariners will have expectations going into a season since god knows when.
