Both our goalies have great pads. Scrivens mask is just perfect, Talbot has horrible mask.


Therefore, I hope Scrivens outplays Talbot and becomes the starter so I can see the mask more often.

I bet there's an "unofficial rule" about this. Like if the other teams' goalie had pads like this I'd probably aim for his head

I dont have the actual link or anything but awhile ago there was a study done when Fluery had his bright yellow pads. It found that when shooters looked up it was easy for them to shoot to avoid the yellow pads because they saw them so quickly and easily. Fluery switched his pads to white after that.

I would assume this is a reason not alot of goalies use overly colored pads
