Great to see Scrivens doing well! 20 saves for the night, was he the difference or was it more of a team effort?

he had a couple huge saves, dude played a solid game

Not saying the dude didn't play well, I'm just saying I really didn't see anything where I didn't think he shouldn't have. Even the partial breakaway where Doughty slashed the hands of the player, didn't get much of a shot.

Again not taking anything away from him, it was a solid performance, just not a mind blowing one.

Great to see Scribbles (nickname in Toronto) get the shut-out. Nice to see a trade that benefits both teams rather than the blockbuster boom or bust type of deals we always see.

Whoever the goalie coach for the kings is, has finally straightened ben out.
He was a disaster last year. I like to call his style "crab style"
He used to spread really low and looked basically like a crab.
He looked very good in the highlights, much much taller, squarer and
very calm.

I watched him play a fair bit last year and he wasn't a disaster.

How someone can have a .915 save percentage and be a disaster is beyond me. He was a key reason you even made the playoffs last year when Reimer went down. The only issue was he was overused during that time and started to show it towards the end. He's not ready to be a number one in the nHL and it showed when he was the go to guy for a while.

i feel the team as a whole plays stronger and smarter without JQ in net. they know that JQ is such a freak and great goalie, i feel they play a bit looser which allows the opposition more open looks when Quick plays. yesterday they clamped down on FLA and didn't give them anything. they play a different game when Quick is sitting on the bench eating hot dogs and drinking a beer
