It doesn't. Provided he doesn't get claimed (chuckle), he could start for us Friday.

If RF still cares about the org at all, he needs to get the Flyers job quick and claim Darling. He owes us.

Not having to dress Scott Darling in an NHL game seems like a big enough advantage for me.

Don't understand the love for Zykov. He's alright, but his skating is terrible.

He hasn't played as well as Foegele, McGinn or PDG, when he's in the line up this year. That is a fact

I predict Zykov will make the Zach Boychuk waiver wire tour, before ending up in the KHL in a year or two. There's just not enough dimensions to his game.

Hopefully, Darling keeps working hard, because Mrazek and Mac both staying healthy and playing well for the remainder of the season is far from a certainty.

Waiving a player does *not* remove them from the roster. This is a recording.

Darling is done. I don’t even want him taking a spot in the minors from one of our young guys. He’s been so bad he just needs to be gone completely.

It seems a bit weird that the Canes couldn’t get a late pick for Zykov. Lesser players with worse contracts than him have been dealt for conditional picks recently.

Not that Sarah Civ has any real connections but she just recently said a scout told her that Zykov was very tradeable. Guess not.

I predict some coach will figure a way to leverage the dimensions he does have into a productive top-9 role in the NHL.

Just because Zykov is on waivers doesn't mean we lose him. It'd be nice to keep him around, but if we lose him, oh well.
