I expect Clarkson to come in better shape, not getting suspended for the start of the season and contribute much more this time around... last year imo should be considered a mulligan for him.

santorelli will look GREAT on the 3rd line with Komarov

Gotta love all the positive comments coming from Vancouver fans on Santorelli. Makes me excited to watch him.

I felt the same way about Komarov when he played for the Leafs the first time around. Was sad to see him go, he literally finishes every check, every time.

Two guys that will be able to log 12 minutes of ice per night and be a force while out there.

Great addition and great return player.

I'm only concerned about his injury situation.

Raymond was successful, but Nucks fans hated him, and was always the junk they bantered about in the trade forum. He came to us on a PTO.

Santorelli is a player who they hated to part with, and was coveted with our conservative approach. I'm looking forward to his working harder than Raymond.

Who knows how he'll play this year coming off an injury and all but I'm pissed we didn't re-sign him in Vancouver. Anyways I think everyone in Vancouver genuinely wishes him luck...

...even in Toronto :sarcasm:

Training camp + first 10 games should yield a lock for the final top six winger on the second line with Lupul and Kadri. Guys who should get a look are Frattin, Holland, Clarkson, Santorelli, Nylander, Brown.

No Santorelli is not a saviour but he is fun to watch and a capable offensive player, an underrated player that is currently undervalued in this league.

Santorelli will work his tail off and embarrass any floaters on his team. Hopefully when the coaches see the effort that Santo puts in every night they will start expecting it from players like Kadri too. At the very least I think this year's Leaf team (forwards) will have to earn their icetime. Komarov will help with this as well.
