What's Hoffman's contract situation? Seems like a good deal for San Jose. Don't know a ton about the other prices on Ottawa's end. Sharks would more than likely have to retain Martin's salary. I'd love to have Hoffman on the Sharks though.

He's not a pending UFA. He has one more year on his deal after this season at 4.85 mil against the cap.

I think Pyatt is an underrated player, but the last thing I think SJ needs is bottom 6 help. I also don't see why OTT would want Martin. Take both those pieces out.

i was reading an article and it said sj wants a 4th line C so thats why i put him there

That is correct. Our 4th line center has been a revolving door all season long. Deboer's leash with struggling forwards has been short lately. Solidifying this position would be a smart move for us.
