Sabres' Victor Olofsson calls himself 'more of a threat' at right wing
Olofsson might shift to right wing in 2021 because the Sabres’ top six at left wing is likely set with Hall and Jeff Skinner. Although Olofsson has not played his off side full-time since his career in the Swedish Hockey League, he told reporters that he’s “very comfortable” at right wing because he’s accustomed to being there on the power play.
“I feel like I’m more of a threat on the right wing,” said Olofsson. “It could be a little bit tougher sometimes in the defensive end, but I feel very comfortable playing off my backhand. I really like playing right wing.
I think his 5 on 5 scoring would improve if he played RW. The natural tendency is to go to your strong side. Olofsson on RW would be more inclined to cut to the middle. At LW he'd be more inclined to try to beat the D on the outside.
