The 'sawns' bit is more or less correct.

'Girg' isn't pronounced as 'gurg'. The 'i' in 'Girg' is pronounced as in 'it'. The 'e' is pronounced as in 'elephant'.

I'll just better post a video with the Latvian pronounciation (skip to 00:13) :
