The cowardly one from saving private ryan?

Or the weird y'allqueda mobster guy from Justified?

I wonder if they are hoping that signing a Northeastern Huskie increases the odds that Levi signs?

:sarcasm:

Or that he's a good AHL PMD defender who can give them some NHL minutes in a pinch?

Former Hobey Baker finalist. Interesting.

Wonder if Adams and staff sense more than just-another-depth-guy potential. He didn't get much of a shot with Nashville - 6 games last season, with less than 75 minutes of playing time.

Probably someone they think could give them some minutes. He's got good AHL chops, might have some runway to much up to a 6/7 NHL role one day.

He got a lot more time the year before though.

He's kind of stuck in tweener land... he had basically become our best prospect D in Milwaukee, and earned his looks. But he just seems to lack something at the NHL level. He seemed to think he could play a high attacking game when deployed as a 3rd pair depth guy, and he really looked out of place doing it. I don't think he has the skill level to play that way in the NHL, but he doesn't seem to realize it or show any intention of trying to adjust his style. So if you're a small, offense-minded 3rd pair D who isn't actually skilled enough to put up points in the NHL... wellllll...

He does need to try a different organization for sure, maybe he'll find some better fit with you guys, but we're probably expecting his next stop to be in Switzerland.

Right. 16 games in 20/21. Thanks. 3A in 22 NHL games isn't exactly lighting it up.

Apparently he needed to print his contract at Staples. Good to see they've retired the fax machine.

Hockey Things: What Caught Our Eye (July 18 Edition)

If you're younger, you likely don't own a printer. That's the case for Jeremy Davies. for 25-year-old Jeremy Davies, who signed a new contract with the Buffalo Sabres last week.

Both he and his girlfriend Erin don't own a printer, so they had to race to a local Staples for him to sign it and send it back to Buffalo, like so many college students have to do to submit papers on time.

Was traded for PK Subban at one point. I've been following his career for a while because I own him in a fantasy league. Maybe he get a chance to impress during pre-season games.
