I feel like there should be a rule against bumping a "signing" thread for a guy who is also slated to be a free agent in a few weeks...seems like it could very easily be misinterpreted as a "new" signing...

I agree. When I first saw it, I was like WTF. Then I realized it was bump and thought it was some kind of sick joke.
