That’s where I have been at right along. Jost at his QO is not value. Pekar on an AHL deal would be fine. Clague I am curious if that is because the have something cooking and he would become the 8 at best.
On claque …..

I think it’s possibly a pure numbers game.

on LD they have Sam, Power, Stillman, Bryson. Dahlin could shift over if needed. Johnson in AHL.

think they are looking at a tweener RD excluding any sort of any bigger signing/ trade.

Something to remember.

the team could plan to 13/8/2. This also could affect signings Here thst 4C May be an AHL/NHL tweener who can be a 13F who clears waivers.

if the give savoie a shot to start at center then later go to the tage-Cozens-mitts-Krebs spine.

does Jost want to be that?

I don't. The two way makes him the 14th forward. Fill the roster out and let him skate with the team, but when Quinn is back, he goes down,
I don't understand, one-way, two-way has nothing to do with waivers. Are you saying they'd be reluctant to send him down if he's on a one-way because they wouldn't want to pay an NHL salary to him while he's in Roch?

I'll be slightly irritated if he's back specifically to serve as the 4th line center.

If he's brought back to be the 13th forward, I'm all for it
He played hard and was a likeable guy, but at some point you have to start raising the bar and thinking like a playoff team, and that means taking the opportunity to get better than Jost on the roster. Serviceable just can't cut it anymore.

Correct, think like a playoff team and re-sign him. Depth is critical and he knows how Donny likes his team to play

Would love if not qualifying Jost meant they go into FA seriously targeting a legit 4C/PK and FO specialist.
Maybe they have somebody in mind.

Hope this doesn't solidify VO in the lineup. Maybe Adams is thinking he'll bounce back and get a better deal at the deadline. I know he doesn't have much to bounce back to but he's had less awful seasons.

I don’t think Jost would sign up for the Hino treatment. And don’t think he would handle it well if it did end up that way.

Optione are. 1) FA signing who is quality and may block young guy. 2) No signing to replace Quinn and just ride young guys whatever it may be or 3) Sign a 13th fill in guy knowing he’s sent down when Quinn is healthy

3 is not Jost, just re-sign Hino for $1m if that’s the choice. I’m bettings it’s option 2 they go with.

I think 13th forward will be Brett Murray.

I really want a defensive center. Quinn replacement can one of the Rochester kids.

Rousek might be the 12th until Quinn returns.

I'm going to put out there again trying Weissbach in that spot and see what happens.
Wouldn't Savoie be a more natural replacement for Quinn?

I see Rousek as the 13th forward, subbing in for Okposo quite often, maybe even 50% of the games. When you factor in injuries, I'd see Rousek playing almost every game, TBH.
