While I agree he should've been fired, Matt Ellis is a Pegula crony. He will be doing video from the sky box not on the bench or running the PP. It's fine.

I think it was Peters and Rivet who talked about how Ellis might be better as an eye in the sky than a coach on the bench.

My biggest concern is that they do not have an assistant coach with experience coaching up a quality NHL PP.

Appert sucks too. Seems like he’s now the replacement. What did he do to warrant it? He has 0 NHL experience.

I have not heard this, all I've heard is that he will be in a different roll which means he could still be behind the bench. His name is even listed 4th as assistant coach.

I'm pretty down on Appert after this year's playoffs. Pretty bummed to see them run it back with largely the same crew. I was hoping Ruff would clean house behind the bench. Oh Well...
