So the Canucks sit 5 points out of the playoffs with a game at hand, will play Vegas 3 times in April, and have 19 games left.

Not the best odds, but people are seriously hoping the Canucks get blown out? Please go be a 'fan' of something else.

Maybe you can hope that Brad Pitt gets hit by a bus, or hope that a spaceship blows up upon re-entry.

It's not just about overtaking Vegas. The Canucks would also have to overtake Dallas and possibly Winnipeg just to squeak into the final playoff spot. It's possible to be both a Canucks fan and a realist at the same time.

Possible but oh so rare

Isn't the warm up already started? Who plays in goal? Should be announced already no? The game is almost starting

If you’re a Jim Benning supporter, sneaking into 16th place this season would be the greatest moment in franchise history.
Asinine.

It's cool that this board is still stuck chasing ghosts of a non-employee of the team. But acting like hoping for your team to do well is a sign that you're a detested Benning supporter is just...sigh.

I'm sorry but it's flat out stupid to not start Halak and try to build some last minute value before the deadline.

NYR started Giorgiev against Canes today and delivered a 44 save shutout the day before they are likely to trade him.

*eyeroll*

There is nothing wrong with wanting the team to do well.

The weird desperation to finish 16th like it’s an enormous success (in both this and precious years) from the biggest Benning supporters is hilarious, though.

This is going to be the weirdest game of the season to follow tonight. Who's in a Canuck uniform for the last time?

Winning this one won't make much difference to their slim playoff hopes, but it might be of some value to the players' mental health.

Seems pretty obvious that high-profile guys won’t be moved and holding depth guys out of the lineup just seems silly.

Let’s go look at the guys the Jets rested today.

None. They didn’t rest anyone. Hell, Copp played 17 minutes and Stastny almost 19.

Oh look more fan gatekeeping by the "there's only one way to be a fan and it's my way" crew. If you want the Canucks to win a cup more than have a first round exit, you just aren't allowed to be a fan.

Some people shouldn't be allowed to make GDT's. I had to take the only person on my ignore list off ignore and it's been a downgrade.
