Kim did not have a stroke, she has brain damage due to lack of oxygen when she had her cardiac arrest. She is improving but it will be a long term process and obviously she's not going to be in a position anytime soon to run several sports teams like she had been doing prior.

So, basically, Terry will run the Bills while Roth runs the Sabres. The Bandits (NLL), Knighthawks (NLL), and Americans (AHL) will continue business as normal and report to Roth rather than to Kim, effectively making them all subsidiaries of the Sabres. Makes sense considering the Bandits share a building with them while the Knighthawks share a building with the Americans, the Sabres' AHL affiliate.
