IIRC, there was an incident a season or two ago where Cole was hit from behind against Dallas (or maybe Toronto?), and Staal fought (or jumped) whoever hit Cole.

This was a few years ago, but I was at a game (vs. the caps I think) and e. staal fought near center ice. I couldn't even believe it was him! but it has happened.

Since he showed chemistry with Staal last year, and our lineup as a whole is lacking chemistry, I would wager that he is going to stick.

Hopefully, long term. He was there with Staal last year and proved to be one of the only players who could consistently compliment Staal, so I would like to think he'd continue to play with him.

Last time someone asked this I said Tlusty was sure to play on the top line, and we saw what happened.

I'll be more cautious this time and say he's the common sense choice.

In all seriousness, that's a perfectly legitimate way to look at it. The first two games were terribad but they were only two games.
