Carlo is a top 3 shut down D under 25 atm the moment (between him and Seth Jones IMO) but he doesn't have much offensive upside.
His transition game has improved a lot this year and his skating has always been flawless for his size.
I don't know much about Pulock but he has some decent offensive numbers.
Pulock is the clear choice here, but it’s unfortunate because Carlo has also become an extremely valuable player that every cup contender would want in their top-4. Dumoulin-esque.
Brandon Carlo is underrated, likely because of an under impressive offensive stat and the fact that he’s not very physical relative to his size. However, he is the best defenseman for either team on the ice plenty of nights over the course of a season.
That being said, from what I’ve heard about Pulock, he seems to be the choice in this poll. I admittedly have seen very little of his game.
Both defensemen are good. I'll go with Pulock since I think he is more well rounded and that is no slight to Carlo who is a damn good defensive defenseman.
