Hmm we drafted a Swede in the 4th round this year by the name of Marcus Sorensen. Offensively he is just murdering the Swedsish league he is in right now, wonder if any relation?

To date one of top three forwards of the swedish age group 94, S.Collberg and F. Forsberg are the other two.
Born in Denmark but has been living in Sweden almost all his life.

Did not play in the swedish tournament TV-puck in 2008, jumped to play for the danish junior national team instead. Last year he played for the swedish U16 national team so evidently he has switch side once again.

Yea he recently switch to Sweden, and as already stated he is forming a formidable top three of the '94 group together with Collberg and Forsberg.

Too bad we don't get the luxury of having him on our NT, he's a great talent. Watched him play for the Danish u16 national team here in Aalborg a year or so ago. Great skill.

It's not even close
He's very highly rated. Did they take a flyer on him and hope for the best? I don't see why he would go that late in the draft if he was keen on playing in the CHL.

Maybe because he told everybody he wouldn't report just to be chosen by Quebec?

Patrick Roy said Claude Lemieux, his agent, contacted him to know if he was interested by Sorensen.

But Sorensen was still #3 on Quebec's list. Rask was #2.

Much can change prior to his draftyear, but he definitely belongs in the 1st round, great skill.

He was doing great before his injury (9 points in 7 games). A huge blow to his career. :(

Lessard clearly leads with his knee:

Apparently both the ACL and the LCL are ruptured... :shakehead

Being in the domain and having myself had a torn PCL and LCL, after surgical repair, it should take him 6 to 8 months of rehab. The ACL is the most ruptured one but takes less time to heal, however with the lateral collateral ligaments ruptured too, Sorensen's case is much worse than Galchenyuk's, who is also out for the entire regular season.

Oh ****, that's dirty.... Theres no place in hockey for that.... You can clearly see that Lessard was going to miss the hit, and he then stuck the leg out.

The intent to injure there is clear, he didn't go in there to separate his man from the puck. He wanted to nail Sorensen and he got his wish.....

This is off topic but again this is why kids in quebec should start contact in atom double letters, and another reason why Atom AA should be brought back, and why Bantam AAA should be implemented. This **** is avoidable if only hockey quebec would do something.... anybody who attends the bantam contact clinics in Quebec also knows that you only have to attend 3 to tryout for double letters.....

Back to topic, that should 20 games..... I can't imagine how much that must of hurt........ atleast he can bounce back but that's a long road to recovery.

That's one of the dirtyiest plays since the Cormier incident..... I'm surprised Rempart fans aren't more pissed.

And Lessards a 20 year old yes ? He's not supposed to be a goon ?
