This kid is playing for Spokane in the WHL, he has 37 points in 15 games. He was born in 1993. Why wasn't he drafted? Sorry if there's a legit reason and I'm asking a dumb question.
Size and strength are the predominant factors as far as I'm aware. I've only see him play once, at the Subway Super Series in Victoria last year, and he wasn't very impressive there. Seemed to be easily muscled off the puck, kept to the outside, and made some bad plays when he couldn't outskate the opposition. This kid is playing for Spokane in the WHL, he has 37 points in 15 games. 4 pt game by Mitch, any chance he's drafted this year?
I think if he keeps it up he might have a future in the ECHL or another minor league.
He does a great stand-up routine.
To an AHL PTO at least.the next brendan shinnimin (sp?)
he'll get signed.
It's actually 55 in 2252 in 22 games for this guy so far in WHL. Got to think he'll be signed soon.
Chris Moulton, Spokane's Director of Scouting/Player Personnel, is also a Buffalo scout, so I'm sure they're aware of Holmberg.41-41-82 in 41 gp, leading the WHL in scoring. Gotta think he's gonna be picked up by someone!
