He's got back to home so I hope he'll start playing soon. He's immune to COVID for awhile so if any SKA player gets infected, there is a good chance he'll get a spot.

If he is truly in a position to be better than Bedard and the scouting staff believes so, I’m sure a bottom feeder team would sacrifice some years to have him.

Everything being equal obviously take the player that can play immediately, but when do we see him in the NHL? I could stomach waitijg 2-3 years if he’s my guy.

I’d take McDavid seasons 18-19 til now over Eichel 15-16 til now.

That's only because of the injuries and neither player in the 23 draft is a McDavid level either.

Even with injuries I could wait 2-3 seasons to get the better player long term, especially if I’m a bottom feeder.

They don’t have to be anywhere close to McDavid for this train of thought to be applicable. Michkov just has to put up a draft season so commanding that it’s worth waiting 2-3 years for.

Look at Hischier and Patrick, I know it’s hindsight but at draft day I would’ve probably waited 2 years for Hischier anyways. And both these players aren’t anywhere close to 97 or Eichel.

Very good point, Bedard might make this a non issue by blowing the doors off his draft year. Damn forgot how far away that draft actually is.

Using stats might get some hits but also alot of misses too.

Honestly that's what it hints at but I don't really take this seriously even if it's somewhat accurate some of the time either.

In the comments it said it means this model projects him as scoring 73 points in the NHL this year as a 17 year old. If that is correct...lol.
