5th to 7th rounders are almost equivalent anyways, in terms of prospect potential. You might as well go with a player you've seen a lot. Better than taking a son of a hockey ops guy.

Now that you've mentioned it, the Stars have selected a Blazer late fairly often.

I'm talking about players like Jermaine Loewen who clearly, even to a blind person, lacked any type of talent or skill to ever be considered for the NHL.

They just draft Blazers once a year, to boost the Blazers drafted player statistics it seems.

It's not like he's getting scratched. He plays pretty much every game. If he was sitting in the pressbox all the time that would be different

What is there to learn in the WHL after four seasons already? He is a 2003 born player.
