Just came across this player on eliteprospects. Wonder if anyone can tell me more about this player?

Base on pure stat-watching (pardon me  lol ), this guy is a PPG player in most of the level he has played in.

He also has good size for his age, albeit a bit lanky. (6'2, 80kg)

I only managed to dig up a few clips of him doing hockey drills from the internet.

Based on my extremely limited viewing, he seems to skate pretty smooth.

With that stat line and his size, I was kind of curious when I found out that he was not ranked by NHL Central Scouting.

Probably a victim of playing in a non-traditional hockey country, hence he was not scouted as often.

It would be great if you guys can offer your take on this player.

All of those levels weren't very high, though. Of course, if he makes Jokerit roster...

Lucas Andersen is to me the second best 1999 born forward from Denmark.

Why is he not on any NHL draft rankings; well he has not managed to take his game to the next level (yet). His junior stats are great and he was someone I thought could be drafted, but the last 1-2 years he has not been able to really separate himself from the rest. An indication of the probability of a Dane staying in Denmark to be NHL drafted is that he can be a profile in the best Danish league as a 16-17 year old. Lucas Andersen has not accomplished that.
I don't believe it has something to do with scouting in this case. Even though there is much less scouting in Denmark, those who deserve it get recognised.
I hope that he can develop his game in Jokorit, and even though he probably won't get drafted, that he can have a great career in hockey.

Regarding size; most Danish players are lanky as junior players. There simply isn't as much emphasis on the psychically aspect of hockey (psychically training) in Denmark compared to many other countries.

He will probably spend most of the year with Jokerit U20 and maybe get some games with Kiekko-Vantaa in Mestis (tier-2 senior league).

Yes, I would be astonished if he gets to play in the KHL this year.

He basically have the same stats, at the same club at the time as recently signed Hershey Bears signing Mathias Bau Hansen...
