Just reaching out to see if anyone has any information or can offer an evaluation about this kids game. He was the Pens third round selection this year, but it's been difficult to find much information on him.

Thanks in advance.

Gritty and hard-nosed.

Also, it sounds like his last name was left out in the rain.

sounds like he doesn't have a high ceiling but his style of play means he should make it as a bottom 6er

You're probably right, but his coach compared him to a young Dustin Brown, and the Pens took him higher than Kuehnhackl who was rated highly in some circles as having offensive upside, so hopefully Rust has some more offensive upside than some may think.

^^ Simply the funniest avatar I have ever seen!!!! Awesome!

As for Rust, I think some will be surprised with this kid. He will not be a natural goal scorer, but he does work his butt off every shift and gives you an honest days work every game. Kid should make the NHL in some capacity with his work ethic and skating ability, but if his hands can improve as well, then you might have snagged up another steal in the mold of Alex Goligoski...
