Seriously though, what is there to complain about? Can he get headstrong and narrow minded? Sure. What person isn’t? Especially people/professionals that carry significant weight in their craft.

We’re talking about a talented writer who is incredibly well connected/respected that gives him access that others do not have and affords him opportunities they cannot touch. He’s also someone who’s not from the area but is invested sincerely in the area/sport/team. Not to mention his passion for the sport and team continually drives content for the fan base to consume.

We could have it worse. Much worse.

What do you gain from this?

Good writer, even better story teller, used to be the best beat writer that I have ever followed. Pretty awful as an analyst/expert. Barely has even a basic understanding of the game. Comes across as a giant Dbag when dealing with the public. Still the best at what he does in this market, although that really isn't a huge compliment.
