Rumour: Niagara IceDogs Sold

Since yesterday's OHL announcement that the Niagara IceDogs GM and Head Coach have both been suspended for a minimum of 2 years, rumours have been swirling that the IceDogs have been sold or are in the process of being sold. Normally I would expect those types of rumours to begin after an announcement like the one made yesterday. However, what is odd is that the rumours of the IceDogs being sold started last week, long before the suspension announcement.

I know a lot of you have connections to other OHL teams so I am just wondering if anyone has heard anything about the possible sale. The Burkes have done an amazing job building the Niagara IceDogs fan base. It would certainly be sad to see them sell.

The rumour has been around Niagara since mid to late March...I hope it's true.
