Russell played 82% of his icetime with Nurse.

Nurse is better in almost every metric without Russell than with him.

I bet you could say that for almost every teammate that they're better when Russell is on the bench vs when hes on the ice.

It is. People need to stop blaming the defense for the forwards being s***. No defense would look good behind our forwards.

The defense is not adequate. They are one of the worst puck moving groups in the league and are average at best defensively, not to mention that they are never healthy as a unit.

The Oilers have deficiencies at all levels outside of the top line.
Lines 2-4, defense and goaltending are all below average units.
