What if things tighten up to the point, the Oilers can squeeze a 3 way trade out of Colorado and Anaheim?

To ANA: Yakupov, Oilers 2017 1st, Colorado's 2nd 2018 (assuming they own it)

To COL: Fowler

To EDM: Barrie (Re-signed at 8yrs $4.5 to 5.5M per)

Again, it's idealistic, but Anaheim doesn't want to add much money and Colorado wants a defenseman.

I think we see one of our LHD or Yakupov flipped for Petrovic out of Florida. The Demers signing and bringing in Pysyk make a lot if sense if they're moving out Petro.

That would be quite the trade. I am not a fan of Pouliot's game and Yakupov hasn't found his place here. 1st round pick is easy to give up for an offensive defenceman like Barrie.

I wonder what else they're looking for if they declined that. I wouldn't offer RNH. I would think about trading Eberle for Barrie if we had a way of bringing in a RW better than Yak/Pulju, etc.

I'm sure I'm in the overwhelming minority here, but trading Yakupov as a near valueless throw-in as part of a package deal would be a horrible mistake right now.

I still say we need to sign a 3C but that is easier to fill than the PP QB Dman in Barrie.
