Hall as a banged up rental player got more than Hall with 3 years left at 6M...

Anyways, I'm pretty pissed Holland couldn't beat that offer because those prospects aren't even top tier. It was literally all prospects and a 1st. Just trade them Bouchard or Benson and a 1st. If you're not going to go for it when McDrai are 23 and 24, then WHEN ARE YOU GOING FOR IT?

As much as some people here hate to admit, players of Hall's callibre don't grow on trees. We've learned that because we haven't had a single competent winger since we traded him for a pylon. Who the f*** cares about cap space right now? To make cap space you don't pass on players like Hall, you just replace your bottom 6 with ELC players. You just replace Kris Russell and Adam Larssons with players that can dothe same job but cost 1/2 as much.

Terry Jones got this quote correct anyway:

"Make no mistake. The dud of a deal by then general manager Peter Chiarelli has just come back and become a double whammy on Edmonton."

Lol we’re already complaining that our bottom 6 and defense corps are terrible, yet your scoring solution is to gut what little we already have? Not to mention throwing away our top blue chip prospect only to land a rental?
So much talk about Hall wanting to win the cup, why do you think he’d want to come back to Edmonton? We haven’t won jack shit yet.

People saying McDavid is the Lebron of the NHL are way off. McDavid is exceptional but his 2 way play leaves a lot to be desired. Lebron has very little downside if any at all.

he also gets calls from officials that McDavid could only dream of.
