While he is undersized at 5-foot-8 and just 163 pounds, he plays a much bigger game. He has transferred his Bantam success over to the major junior level. McClennon has 35 goals and 78 points in 93 WHL games so far. He has been most effective when he has played on the same line as Peyton Krebs, a 2019 second-round pick by the Vegas Golden Knights.

McClennon’s draft season got off to a slow start, partially thanks to Krebs missing time with an injury. He played for Canada at the Hlinka Gretzky Cup where he had just a goal and an assist in five tournament games. When he returned to the WHL he started to heat up until a broken collar bone ended his season in January.

He could just be a good, high scoring Junior player but he's a fine gamble this late. His micro stats are great.

Yes.

I had Wisdom at ~110ish (I bracketed after my top 100... he just about missed)
I had Desnoyers in the "early 5th-ish" bracket.

I dont dislike either.

But there were better players on the board I think, with similar/better floors.

This seems like a very intriguing late round pick who doesn't completely get compartmentalized in that 5'8 forward skill-set. Following the theme, shooting is highly praised.

But most importantly, "McLennon" is @Strawberry Fields ' dream prospect name.

Gunler
Andrae
Nybeck
Novak
McClennon

Nybeck is small.
Novak is small and not best skater, even if okay.

Most of the guys with high potential after ~90 or so (sans Chromiak) were just undersized.
