That's kinda ironic, since the trade of Madsen makes Tomek's future more viable, as the next wave behind Hart/Sandstrom.

Flyers knew Madsen wouldn't sign, but he might not have been willing to sign if they weren't willing to commit to an AHL berth next year - in effect telling him he was behind in the pecking order.

If we don't get a starter out of any of the goalies we have now, then we ****ed up regardless of Madsen's success. If Stolarz, Lyon, Hart, Sandstrom and Tomek all failed, then we failed in terms of scouting, drafting and developing.
