Mariners sign Laberge

PORTLAND, Maine – The Maine Mariners announced the signing of former Philadelphia Flyers draft pick Pascal Laberge for the 2021-22 season. Laberge was selected in the second round (36th overall) of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft, and played his first three professional seasons in the Flyers organization.

I remember people not believing he slipped to the Flyers in the second round and thought he was going to be a player. Too bad that big hit derailed him and never got back on track

Yep, he looked like one of those potential diamonds in the rough. Unfortunately, major brain injuries set some players back.

Laberge was a guy who got set back by injury and then with the pandemic was easy to lose track of. Hope he does well this year and gets some looks from big clubs.
