Great period - Helle's dialed in - still a little chaos out there but much better

Problem is as soon as things pick up we don’t play our 4th line. Depth is what hit us here. Stan played a pretty good period.

The period started off great but since the Avs PP it reverted to the same crap as game 1, too many shots with time available for the Avs d-men from the point, too many rebounds available, and 2nd to too many pucks in the last 5 mins of that game.

Let's not forget the Avs have a very dynamic unit - Mac, rantanen, nikushin toews makar. Easy to blame the Jets but that's world class.


Jets bent but didn't break. Overall I liked that period, a real improvement

very close first period, great start and Avs pushed back late.

This describes the period best. The Avs just have way too much offensive talent not to have their 5 alarm chances. We do have to get the puck out more efficiently to give Helly a little more breathing room.

Makar hasn’t done much when not putting up points. Every time mac touches the puck I’m scared points or no points.
