Not sure if this has been discussed, but what kind of contract do we see Beau getting? Similar to Despres? 2 years for 1, 1.5 million perhaps. Hasn't really proved a lot but he's been hurt and dicked around with.

Anyway I want this team to make upgrades but nothing out there, in my opinion, will be worth giving up assets for. Winnik, Lupul...just not the kind of impact guys you want to waste assets on. Kind of like Jordan Leopold or Murray. Yeah they're good depth but...do we really NEED them? They won't be the difference between winning a Cup or not.

Arcobello scored again, that's 4 goals in 6 games with the Coyotes.

#FireShero

Also, I'm all for Letestu if it means Sutter gets moved for a winger. It's a lateral move that gives us $2 million in cap space. I'm all for that.

I thought Letestu was essentially a 4C. I doubt that he would be replacing Sutter even if Botterill is scouting for a trade.

Arcobello on the fourth line with Downie-Lapierre or Spaling-Lapierre would have been so much better than Adams or Sill.

Nice move by the Wild.

I think you might start to see some trades over the next couple days.

The Bergenheim trade kind of sets the market for rental forwards.

I would think a guy like Tlusty would be worth a 3rd and 5th.

No, Lesestu is only a slight downgrade from Sutter, and he's much less inconsistent.

With Spaling on the roster, I don't see the point of picking him up.

I also extremely doubt that the Pens are looking to replace Sutter with Letestu as it is a downgrade.

Nah Farnham on a 4th line with Lapierre and Downie would just be pure awesome.

I understand why people like Farnham. But I'll take the guy that plays better hockey 9 times out of 10. Arcobello is a better hockey player than Farnham.

People on the trade board are saying the Penguins should give up Downie for Letestu because Letestu is the better player. :shakehead

Where are all these Letestu rumors coming from? Did somebody credible say the pens were interested?

Not anyone super credible:

According to @rickgethin, #Pens Assoc. GM Jason Botterill is scouting CBJ-BUF tonight. Mark Letestu mentioned by some as on Pens radar.

I am not a huge Downie fan, but I actually think he has skills and playmaking that get overlooked. I am surprised people think that Letestu is a better player

You're ignoring the fact that the Pens get an additional $2 million in cap space to improve other parts of the roster. It's not "trade Sutter for Letestu and call it a day".

Yeah but we already have an internal upgrade in Spaling. Sutter can be put towards a top 6 guy.

there's serious smoke around sutter now at the very least

Tube is too much like Sutter for my liking. Maybe more offensive-gifted, but I'm not sure it's an upgrade.

Unless JR is going all Picasso over the next week: Kunitz out, Lupul in, Sutter out, Letestu in, etc...

he's going to have to juggle multiple moves to do that.

I liked him. Certainly better than a couple players on our team. Amazing how a guy like Sill stays and Arco is moved four times yet has very respectable numbers.

Maybe they want to keep Spaling on the wing. Letestu isn't any significant downgrade from Sutter, and we wouldn't have to make another move for a winger. I'd much rather have Tlusty (or someone that costs similar to Tlusty) and Letestu with Spaling on the wing. It makes our depth a lot better and it pushes Adams/Sill out of the lineup.

It's not supposed to be an upgrade. It's supposed to be a move that clears $2 million in cap space and doesn't leave a hole in our bottom-6.
