My 6th highlight-montage for Andreas Johnsson (#11).., picked in 2013- round 7 - #202 overall .., by the Toronto Maple Leafs.....
and now playing Right-Wing position.., in his first rookie season.. with the 2016-17 Toronto Marlies.., in the AHL...

Andrea's finished his first Pro season,, as an iron-man on the Marlies,.., playing every regular season game.., being utilized on both PP & PK...
and ending up with the most goals on the team (20).., for the regular season... A pretty good start.. :)

Could just be nervous anticipation..., or gas..., too.. :biglaugh:

:biglaugh:

Gas can really put a funk on things

I know Marincin looked like he turned his ankle last game so I wouldn't be surprised if he's playing banged up. Hopefully not though because he needs to be 103% to be serviceable.

I blame myself for the loss, since I was late to the party..
...and just finished the playoff pump for them.. :sarcasm:

C9gBVsqXUAQQEyc.jpg

The Marlies had a tough season start.., going through various skaters and utilizing seven different goalies.., but they ended up having a strong second-half and finish.. and they are now headed into the 2017 AHL Playoffs.... (*1st game - tonight - April 20th 2017)...

End Of Reg.-Season Standings:
*2nd in the North Division
*7th in the Eastern Conference
*12th in the League

FINAL 2016-17 REG. SEASON TEAM STATS:
76 games... 42 wins... 29 losses... 4 O.T.L... 1 S.O.L. 89 points...
....with 245 goals scored..... and 207 goals against...

Many of the players had outstanding regular seasons.. and I wish them all the best.. and that this will continue all the way through the
"final round of playoffs"... :) Some of these guys will be on the next tier of Leafs Rookies.., entering into the NHL..

Please share this video around with others.., so we can support these guys on their Calder Cup Quest.. and gather a whole "Marlies Nation" of fans..! Thanks.... and ENJOY!

Includes: various brief clips of Ricoh Coliseum and area..; Marlies fans; dressing room clips..; pre and post game clips... and many different goals from many of our 2016-17 Marlies players.; a few saves by Sparks and Bibeau... and a few more 2016-17 clips & photos...

Korostelev looks really good that game. Slick stick skills and skating in a big kid. I hope we sign him and don't let him go back to the draft!

One of 2-3 left in their championships, too.., so he's been getting a lot more ice time.., that could give Babs and the boys a bigger "sample size"... Plus.., he changed teams mid-season.. and has weathered that storm a little better than Bracco seems to have..

I would really like to see him on the Marlies at the least. That way we can see better what we have in him.
I think we should invest in his size and skill.
