In the immediate future? I have no idea TBH.

Verratti, De Bruyne, Hazard, Muller...maybe Pogba?

Nobody really stands out right now TBH.

Do me a favour and delete this and never post about Sam Larsson again. At least not for the next few weeks.

I forgot you're a Heerenveen fan. I love Sam Larsson.

Indeed. Samba Sam is the only reason I haven't torn my eyes out at this year's Heerenveen lately. I guess I had already mentioned him a few times on the site during the u21 WC.

Anyway, yeah I think that video was posted as a joke.

Of course I do, if he played central midfield more often everyone would be gushing over him. But right now he is just the best leftback in the sport.

pfft he doesn't even really play as a full-time left back ;)

Julian Brandt would be another good candidate for next top European player.

No mention of Dele Alli? He is quite possibly the best u-20 player in the world at the moment. Scored a brilliant goal vs. France in his first cap.

Fine, he plays most of the time as a "left centerback". Wherever he plays, he seems to excel.

I like Brandt from what I have seen of him.

Alli isn't a bad candidate. Kid could be the next Stevie G.

More like the next Scholes if we're comparing him to another British midfielder.

Since I read some longer term names, people should not forget Nabil Fekir.
