Found this article on the politics that the MLB may be facing WRT allowing media access to those not member of the BBWA (the equivalent of the PHWA), IOW, often those who write for online publications.

So, to expand this to hockey....

Has the PHWA reached out to some/any of the online publications? Are they planning to?

Should the NHL have a policy of media access for non-PHWA members? Should it be on an ad hoc basis?

(A question to the moderators, are any of the HF article writers members of the PHWA? Have they tried or wanted to?)
