Another day, another shutout for the Amerks. Amerks win 3-0. JJ leads the league in GAA and it's not even close. Hammond also top 10.

It would be a crime to expose him to what is up here....Pilut just busted his ass to break up a play up 3-0 in the last minute.
It’s a crime he’s down there.
Yeah, it's probably time to waive Hutton and bring up Johansson.
Is Johansson a legit NHL caliber goalie prospect? His numbers are lights out.
I can't tell if you are blaming the D for Hutton's abysmal play. Funny how Ullmark achieves very different results with the same core. This is a good core that is still learning how to play in the NHL.No, let's not. Rochester have one of the best D-corps in the AHL.
Calling Buffalo's defensive corps "average" might be over-rating it some. JJ would get peppered and exposed in the NHL right now. Let's let JJ alone and re-evaluate after the year.

- 1 SOG, as in... his only shot was on his own net?Mittelstadt - 1 SOG, +1 tonight.
Yes, he is. He has been overlooked by a lot of people on this board. Ideally, he would get more time to grow.Is Johansson a legit NHL caliber goalie prospect? His numbers are lights out.
I would call that the Mackenzie Blackwood treatment. No, let's not. Rochester have one of the best D-corps in the AHL.

no. he had one shot on goal. I don't believe they track shots on your own net, but if they did, I would bet the sabres have more than other teams this year.- 1 SOG, as in... his only shot was on his own net?
Hutton's fighting the puck for absolute sure right now. His defense isn't helping him out much.......but Hutton's recent struggles are far more on Hutton than they are on the D.
However, I don't want to wreck a kid's confidence playing behind a D that isn't playing particularly well right now.
In fairness, until the last two months he hadn’t established he could handle the AHL, let alone the NHL.Yes, he is. He has been overlooked by a lot of people on this board. Ideally, he would get more time to grow.
If your goal is playoffs, you cant play hutton and you cant run ullmark into the ground like lindy used to do with miller. If your goal isnt making the playoffs, well your name is probably jason botterill
Welcome to HFboards’ Sabres sub-forum JasonThen I'm Jason Botterill. If we happen to get into the playoffs, we're an easy 1-and-done. Likely in a 4 or 5 game series.
I'd rather not damage a guy like JJ that's rolling along nicely. And at some point I believe that Hutton will bounce back. I don't believe that he's simply done.
