I think it will be good to have a Czech as an assistant. Not just with Kulich and Rousek and guys like that. He's also had the experience of coming to a new continent and needing to get assimilated.

Loved hearing what Vinny had to say during the press conference, and his willingness to learn plus his passion for hockey and commitment to get better is inspiring. Like I suspected before the press conference, Prospal's personal experience with coming over to the US not knowing the language and the culture was not the reason he was hired, but is a definitely bonus with so many foreign born players.

These are the types of hires you want in the AHL. Neither Weber nor Peca had coached at the AHL level before they took the Amerks job. Not sure what anyone would be expecting.
