Rob Scuderi a top signing for the Pens

He is exactly what teams look for in a shut-down defenseman to play on their second pair. The Penguins have missed him over the last few years, as they have struggled defensively in the playoffs. Along with Brooks Orpik, Scuderi gives the Penguins more of a defensive presence in their top four. At a $3.4M cap hit, Scuderi is a good fit, but the Penguins will still have to maneuver to fill their remaining three roster spots and stay under the cap.
