I think 5 pts.

Either

2-4-1 or 1-3-3

TB, Dallas & Washington are guaranteed losses.

But, Colorado is banged up. We could fluke out a win here.

Nashville & Florida are mediocre. Think it's 60/40 in their favour that they win, but you never know. A good goaltending performance, and some Suzuki/Caufield magic could turn the tide in our favour.

A win in Arizona seems most likely, but even that is 50/50. Coyotes have only played 8 home games this year. Their 4-3-1.

I voted 3 points but to be honest this team is playing better on the road and may surprise us with 4 points instead :)

I called Dec. 21st, the beginning of a reality check for the Habs......I don't think we'll be talking about Habs slim chances of making the PO after the holidays.

5 points would be the best case scenario!
Were people talking about that? :eek3:

Yeah when they were almost in a playoff spot, I saw the difficulty of the schedule and told someone freaking out about the potential botched tank not to worry and that the Habs would be 25th or lower by mid December. Wasn't too far off.

My next prediction is 27th my mid January lol

Taking a short break from here since tensions have gotten high.

Keep in mind we wanted the Habs to endure this year and then never losing this much again… MSL has nothing good to work with, our rookies and youngsters are over-performing and will surely slow down (this might be happening already), while our vets are either useless or underperforming and might wake up (but it’s unlikely). The criticism of MSL has started but it’s important to keep a perspective: the Habs don’t have an NHL-worthy roster. The results therefore will be random, or worse.

I don’t think MSL is a master coach but I do think he has the right approach to hockey and will be successful as a coach once the Habs have an adequate or better roster.

Unfortunately the Habs can easily go 4-3 in their next span, or 3-4. But it won’t be the disaster slide the tank needed. Why? Because the results will be random. We have and enjoy great impetus from MSL and we know Coal Caufield can break any game… but we also have horrific and bad depth, and many players in bad form.
