Not being a Wild fan, I don't really know why this occurred.

I do remember the trade like it was yesterday though. Think it was on the opening day of the Winter Olympics back in 2010.

Fletcher traded Leddy along with Kim Johnsson (a pending UFA) in one of 2-3 trades in his first season that tried to do quick fixes. At the time Minnesota had 3 of their 4 prospects be D-men (Cuma, Scandella and Leddy) and an on his way out Tommy Thompson, who was big in drafting Leddy (was Fletcher's first dradt), for some reason threw the U and Lucia under the bus. Honestly in my opinion that was stupider than trading a Minnesota-born player.

And I think we're good regardless if you're trolling or not. Closed.
