Seabs can try his hardest, but when he arrives at training camp severely overweight and dead tired after one lap around the rink, he's not going to make a strong case for himself.

Right. Seabs' life, to a large extent, is hockey. He's been very successful and is a proud guy. I'm sure he's acutely aware of what he's up against. Only classless people will begrudge him opportunities to come back (this season/next season).

That said, I'll believe he's in our top 6/7 when Colliton puts him there. The NHL is no country for guys who don't have it anymore.

Sounds like Seabs has been playing through this stuff for a bit now. He deserves a fair shot this and next season to show what he’s got left.
