Our Boston Bruins blow a lead and lose to Montreal in the most infuriating fashion imaginable. But it's okay, because we all know they have traded for Jerome Iginla. Done deal between the GM's, nothing left but the paperwork and...........no. The clock strikes 12:00, we move on to a new day, the 28th and our carriage turns into a pumpkin

Jerome pulls a fast one on us. Demands he goes to Pittsburgh, because THEY are his best chance to win. We're left embarrassed and gut punched. All the Habs and Canuck and fans of various other teams who hate our team, for one reason or another, are jubilantly piling on and splashing around in our collective misery

That night was insane.

I remember all the Flames fans coming over, we're literally falling over in mutual love with each other celebrating. Then the news was delivered and boom. They almost sadly said goodbye and tromped on over to the Pens board

There were black and gold "C" avatars being made, we were telling jokes like we'd known each other forever then it was all taken away. You could see, in review, the exact place in the thread where it happened.

It's funny now....but I was so stunned that night, I didn't sleep. I think Kate in an ever-so-loving fashion chided me "have you even slept yet?"

For a shortened season, it's been beyond bizarre. I don't think I could've survived a full 82 if this insanity came with it.

I was so ****ing upset this night. My only solace after losing that game vs the Habs was that we were getting Iginla. This victory tonight was SO sweet, but the circumstances of that night make this even better. I hated the Penguins before, and I hated them even more that night.

I'm sure as hell not sleeping tonight. The Bruins are back in the Finals, **** ya feels amazing to say that.
