Relocation?

Long time Panther Fan and lurker on this site. However I moved out of Florida a long time ago (but moving back this summer.) I was wanting some insight from people around the area if anyone is really worried about relocation? I know Phoenix dodged a bullet and I am hoping we are not the unlucky ones.


I saw this article by George Richards and now relocation has gotten me a bit worried. http://miamiherald.typepad.com/flapanthers/2014/04/curtains-panthers-to-seriously-cut-back-on-sunrise-capacity-in-2014-15.html Any Thoughts on this? I am just hoping that Viola holds his promise to keep the team in South Florida.

a lot of teams do this to have 100% attendance, no1 go? close down the section, its still 100%

florida won't relocate until the lease is gone. the fanbase have proven to be good enough throughout the years, with the ability to fill the arena if the team is good.

Moreover it's to get more people in the lower bowl and camera view.

Our attendance is good whenever the team on the ice is good. Once that starts happening, (hopefully next year after new the ownership lets Tallon spend freely this summer) those curtains will be gone pretty quickly.
Like others have said there is also the long term lease and the possibility of a casino next door, and the fact that Broward does not want to lose the team.
Our situation is a lot different than the one that Phoenix just went through.
I wouldn't worry about relocation.
