all this lies trade, no cap space, oh we just signed fraser now we have no cap space to sign kadri and franson

ok guys we keep liles, send fraser down to get some games in, especially after his injury.
now we have over 6 mil to sign kadri and franson. keep brennen up, we will have a roster of 22, 1 extra forward and 1 extra defence:nod::handclap::)

You don't re-sign a player on a 1-way who played the majority of last season on the big club, down to the Marlies.

why? he was a rfa, leafs need depth and cap space, he is in line to go down, now that we signed ranger.

defence go down all year, we need depth:nod:

Brennan is already off the roster. I think Holzer and Smith will be removed and we will use the last 6M to get kadri and franson to settle for 3M or so each. I know that sounds optimistic but I think it can be done. This would give us a 21 man roster which isn't that great and thats why we will still look at moving Liles. If he isnt moved this year, Liles will be moved next off season We need that 3.8M cap space badly for next off season.

The one thing that continues to make me nervous is the lack of a 1st line center. While they don't have a typical first line guy, I felt all right knowing that any one of Kadri, Grabs or Bozak could step into that roll if need be. I'm not so sure Bolland can. If one of Bozak and Kadri get hurt, I don't see anyone who can replace them long term.

I think getting Bernier could work out really well. I just wish the Kings wanted Kulemin instead of Frattin.

its 6.6 mil if you take off brennen and holzer, call brennen up makes 22 man roster:)

Hopefully Joe Colborne gets some third line minutes, and also really learns how to use his body and size from centering Orr and mcclaren. I think he'll be ready to step into a top 9 role by midseason, hopefully
