So Edmonton goes into next season with Koskinen-Reimer? Ouch.

Sekera's still a 2nd pairing defensemen. Solid defensively, good puck-mover. Our team transformed when he came back. He completely solidified Matt Benning.

Sekera has more value to us than he does in a trade.

The Oilers need wingers and a third line center. Sekera's on the table. There are options.

Fine. He’s an amazing player, but unless I’m just not reading his games played number correctly, he’s only played parts of the last two seasons and has only made it to 80 twice his whole career. At that cap hit, and his age, yeah no thanks. Much rather spend that elsewhere.
